Associate Vice President, Annual and Planned Giving

Erin Sargeant Greenwood is the Associate Vice President, Annual & Planned Giving at the University of Waterloo. Erin's portfolio includes providing leadership and strategic direction to a team responsible for Annual, Leadership and Planned Giving, along with the Stewardship and Donor Relations unit within the Office of Development & Alumni Affairs. This integrated team is focused on building a strong and sustainable pipeline of donors for the University.

Erin's move to University of Waterloo in 2008 marks a return to the university sector where her career in advancement started, first as a student and founding President of the Student Alumni Association at Wilfrid Laurier University before joining the professional staff at Nipissing University and York University.

Before joining the University of Waterloo, Erin led the advancement operations at Branksome Hall, an independent school in Toronto, from 2005 to 2008 where she successfully integrated the advancement operations to support major gift fundraising.

In addition to her early roles at universities, Erin has worked with more than 15 not-for-profits across all sectors as Campaign Director and then Associate Vice President at KCI (Ketchum Canada Inc.) from 1998 to 2005. During her time at KCI, Erin led projects ranging from organization structure and governance reviews to annual and major gift fundraising strategies and campaign management and assessment.

Erin graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts, Business Administration Option in 1996 and is a member of the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education, the Canadian Association of Gift Planners and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
